During our Ocean City trip, ST promised our cousin Ronald that he’d make him tacos with his homemade red and green salsas. So, we had a taco party and invited a bunch of family over.
Our sweet little goddaughter, Kaitlyn, is two years old.
She had the biggest personality in the room. She sings and laughs and shouts and talks nonstop. She is so sweet and full of smiles.
She is full of curiosity. She also loves watching YouTube videos about baking cakes and cupcakes.
She is also super affectionate. She gave me and ST several spontaneous “huggies” and kisses, along with lots of smiles and giggles. I’m not sure if she’s messing with me, but according to her, ST is both her godfather and her godmother (she calls him both, in Chinese). Yeah, she’s messing with me.
Nicholas is almost five years old. His birthday is the same day as our wedding anniversary.
We sang to him on our wedding night and gave him a birthday cupcake. This was him on his third birthday.
Two years later, he’s sweet and funny and very smart. He knows how to add and subtract, and we have the best conversations with him.
Ronald is definitely one of their favorite uncles.
Here’s the crew.
It’s amazing how fast these wee ones are growing up.
To make our home more kid-friendly, I covered the coffee table with some pink drawing paper so they could scribble to their hearts’ content without trashing it. It also helped with the small spills made by kids and adults alike.
I took a picture of their doodles before we chucked their art.
Oh yeah. Instead of tortillas, I made my tacos with lettuce and they were delicious.
Last Monday, we went to my uncle’s home for a Labor Day family party. Kaitlyn is at an adorable age right now when she’s learning new words and saying the cutest things. This party was all about her. And karaoke. Chinese people love their karaoke.
Kaitlyn eats each portion of food like it will be her last. She ate Doritos that day.
Your cousin Kaitlyn is our goddaughter. Currently, she’s learning new words such as her Chinese name. Her Chinese name is Gah Yee, which is the same as your cool Aunt Cathy (Hi Cathy!).
Kaitlyn just learned how to say her Chinese name and she is very enthusiastic about it. Here she is saying her Chinese name over and over again. You can use this video to make fun of your cousin in the future
